for people living in the eu danmark is closer, though it's a windoof server you're connecting to:

w3m -dump http://msv.dk/ms302.aspx | head -n +2 | cut -c 17-

This doesn't work for me as the IP is being rendered on the line after the regex.

e.g.
Your IP Address Is
192.168.0.1

My regex skill is a little rough but this works:

lynx -dump http://whatismyip.com | awk '/[0-2][0-5][0-5]\./ {print $1}'

myIP=`wget -qO - http://ekiga.net/ip/` && echo $myIP

Just tried this tip, and found that whatismyip.com has a new, easier to use page...  Now all it takes is:

lynx -dump http://whatismyip.com/automati … 230945.asp
